Race 1. I’m sure the public will favor the speed of 5 Gran Saman and he may very well go gate to wire in this turf sprint. I’m interested in 1 Tempter who is coming in second off the layoff and was claimed the last time at this level. Hopefully the instructions for Reyes are to sit tight behind the front runner and make one move off the turn. The price should be right. Stone Heart (2) gaining the service of Irad Ortiz can also make his presence felt although he’s been at this level for some time. I’m not thrilled with GQ CoverUp’s trainers numbers. I’ll try and beat him.
Depending on final odds I’ll look to use 1 in exacta boxes and maybe hedge with 3 and 5 in double or pick threes. My subscribers will get my final picks at about 1MINUTETOPOST.

Race 2.
This race is pretty wide open with lightly raced runners, drop downs, surface switchers and a first time starter. I would look to key 7 in exacta boxes with All and use 1,2,4,6 in multi race wagers or hedged bets. 7 Sunny My Way looks to have the speed to get out on top and we’ll see how far she can go. Race 3.
I don’t have any strong opinion in this race. I’ll look to use ALL on my multi race wagers and lean more on 2,3,4 (lean more = bet more$) most likely I’ll pass on betting this race individually

Race 4.
I could never put any serious money on one particular runner in this field. It’s a good race to use All and hope for a price in the Pick 4 and Pick 5. Will most likely pass on betting this race individually.

Race 5.
Another tough race in which 1,2,5,6,8,10,11 can win from class relief, 3,4,9 can win for getting a second chance on turf, and 7,11 are unknown how they will perform on Turf. It’s most likely a pass for me.

Race 6. This route looks tough to figure if one of the three speed horses (1,2,3) will be able to hang on or if a closer (4,7) will get up in time. I like to think that if all three speeds go, this will set up nicely for 4 or 7. I’ll look to key 4 & 7 with 1,2,3 in exactas. My subscribers will get my final picks at about 1MINUTETOPOST.

Race 7. The core four in this race are 2,4,6,7. I think 2 & 4 are at an advantage to be closer upfront and have strong recent races which should have them right at the wire at the finish.
Of course anything can happen and it’s rather a tough race to take just one runner. Final odds will determine my decision for wagers.

Race 8. Madame Uno 7 is the horse to beat coming back in her second race of the layoff win, great jockey, great trainer, 2 for 2 at this track and running in a protected position. The runners to hedge with would be 1,2,6. 1 is lightly raced and would be my second choice to key. She probably needed the race of the layoff and could be ready for a big performance today. 2 & 6 have similar patterns and look to make up ground at the end. Race 9. In this Maiden Special Weight, I’m looking at 2,5,6,7. Spectacular Jack gets on the turf for a trainer who has been sending out live horses. Maybe this colt wants turf after all and we will find out today hopefully at around 7-1 or higher. 5 Victors Flag just put in a super fast work and has the right to keep improving. 6 Gold Shot has come over from the west coast and gets a trainer change and picks up Jose Ortiz. I’m not sure how he will like the turf. 7 Unbridled Rebel is the horse to beat and looks to go gate to wire. My subscribers will get my final picks at about 1MINUTETOPOST.

Race 10.
In the nightcap I’m using 1,2,3,4,6,7,8 on my pick six tickets. Of my runners, three have been at this level (4,6,8) and the rest are dropping down in class. 8 is improving and although looks cheap on paper, I wouldn’t want to miss cashing a big pick 3 or pick 5 without him. 3 is taking the biggest class drop and it should be now or never for this runner. 1,2,7 are getting back on the main track and could win if 3 isn’t ready today.
