What can you gain from using my service?
Beginners: If you are new to betting on horses my picks are easy for you to use and understand. Mostly what I’m trying to do is beat the favorite in most races. I look at the odds constantly and try to decide which horse has the best chance of winning pertaining to the odds that the public has assigned it in the parimutuel pools.
For those of you that want to learn more about Parimutuel Wagering, I will write another article soon about that but feel free to google it and learn what you can.
Without explaining too many other racing opinions of mine at this stage, and to keep this easy for new handicappers, my picks that I text before races should be bet to Win and Place. I can tell you that 90% of the time if my pick doesn’t win but comes in second, you will still cash a ticket worth more then you paid for IF you BET THE SAME DOLLAR AMOUNT FOR WIN & PLACE.
As you may know by now, I don’t bet every race. I pass on races where I can’t find a horse I like, or I think the favorite is tough to beat or there are more than 3 horses that I believe can win. You may have heard one of the best ways to make money at the track is knowing when NOT to make a bet.
For Beginners it’s quite easy to follow along. Just check your phone a few minutes before each race and take my tips to the window. The proper way to ask for your bet is in the following order: TRACK, RACE, DOLLAR AMOUNT, BET TYPE, HORSE NUMBER. Example. “Belmont, Race 3, $20 WIN & PLACE on Number 5”
Intermediate Players: By now you’ve hit some big trifectas, maybe some pick three’s or maybe even a pick six. Sometimes you are on a hot streak and sometimes you may be icy for weeks. What you’ll find by subscribing to my daily selections is that I’m very consistent in my play. My picks are certainly value driven but I also pass a lot of races. What you may find helpful is that I can be that extra sixth sense to help you pass a race or confirm something that you have been thinking. It’s possible that what I have to add is a simple hedge idea that you didn’t think of but just bailed you out of a 100% loss to only down 5% or even up 5%. Walking away with 80% of your wager is better than losing it all.
For me personally, I don’t bet trifectas or superfectas, I stick with WP, exactas, daily doubles and multi-race bets. As you probably know if you’ve been subscribed, I come up with some big prices. I’ll also include some hedge bets along with my top choice for Win & Place if I think there’s some value on other possible outcomes.
